Els Schipaanboord is a researcher at the Department of Legal Methods, University of Groningen. She is an affiliated researcher at the EVICT project. Els specialises in administrative sanctioning of deviant behaviour in light of Article 6 ECHR. In the EVICT project, she examines how the closure of drug premises and the imposition of area bans relate to the rights and guarantees enshrined in Article 6 of the ECHR. Furthermore, she is interested in the criminalisation of homelessness.
