Björn Hoops holds the Chair of Private Law and Sustainability at the University of Groningen and specializes in land law and governance, government regulation of property, expropriation, and legal tools to improve the sustainability of buildings. He co-supervises the PhD researcher working on the international right to housing in national jurisdictions in the framework of the EVICT project, contributing his expertise on the right to housing as a restriction to land ownership.
