A legal and data analysis approach for the effectiveness of the right to housing: the Brazilian case on homelessness
The EVICT monthly talks resume on the 23rd of February with Dr. Wellington Migliari as our speaker!
Dr. Wellington Migliari will present his work on homelessness in Brazil, with a particular focus on the data analysis techniques used, and the process of aggregating the data into a reader-friendly format. Furthermore, the talk will delve into the correlations between homelessness and other social factors in Brazil, as well as present several starting points for data analysis and ‘right to housing’ research in Europe.
About the speaker
Dr. Wellington Migliari is a post-doctoral researcher at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He currently focusses on curating different types of data related to land use, sustainable development, and territorial conflicts.
About the monthly EVICT talks
On the third Thursday of every other month, we will have a speaker on a topic related to evictions, the right to housing, housing law, the (complex) relation between international law and national law, and/or data science. Each month, we will have a different international speaker (ranging from scholars to practitioners) who will offer fascinating insights into their area of expertise. Check out our events page for all upcoming and past events, which will have links to recordings of the talks.
For now, the talks will be held online. Each of these talks will begin at 4:00 pm and end at 5:00 pm (Central European Time, UTC+01:00).
